Long Summer Days… Ahhhh!

Howdy Rosemontians!

Hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying the beautiful weather.

Port-a-Pottie

We have been advocating for 3+ years to get temporary bathrooms on the west side of 10 St in Confed Park. This has been a safety issue for our hall and renters as people often try to use our hall’s bathrooms. Plus, if you want to have a nice picnic in the park with your family, you would need to go all the way to the Parks office, which can be a 15-20 minute walk. Despite telling us that they would be installed in the parking lot last fall, they have reneged on this commitment. Needless to say, it has been frustrating. We are asking everyone to submit 311 requests because the city relies on data and we need to be the squeaky wheel if we want some grease.

September BBQ

Save the date of Saturday Sept 9 for our September BBQ and reach out if you are able to help out. We can only put on these types of events with the help of volunteers like you.

September Programs at the Hall

Be sure to check out the many programs starting up in September. Our friends at LDK Foundations karate and Common Digs have lots of fall classes starting up soon. Details can be found at RosemontYYC.com/Programs or LDKFoundation.com or CommonDigs.com

Rosemont Tech Updates

The best way to stay up-to-date is to receive our emails (typically 1-2 per month). If you aren’t receiving them, visit RosemontYYC.com and sign up.

Finally, we have fully transitioned to our new website and email addresses. Please visit us at RosmeontYYC.com. And all of our emails now end with @RosemontYYC.com instead of @RosemontCommunity.com. Please update your contacts accordingly.

As always, keep looking after family, friends, neighbours and yourselves. Enjoy the summer!

-Matthew
